Description

Huntsman Tactical H34 Lightweight GBB Pistol Purple

Huntsman Tactical’s H34 Lightweight is a gas blowback pistol, here in purple. Its H34 designation follows the competition-style 34 pattern, and the lightweight build named in the listing keeps it easy on the belt during long games.

The purple colourway is one of the more distinctive options and stands out in any collection. Please check the product images to see which parts are coloured and the exact slide profile, as we do not have a full specification sheet for this version.

Design and handling

Pistols on the 34 pattern are generally known for a longer slide and sight radius than a standard G17, which many shooters find helps with aiming at range. The H34 shares the familiar G17-family grip and controls, so it feels natural for anyone who has used that style of pistol before.

The lightweight build named in the listing makes the H34 a comfortable pistol to carry and quick to bring up on target. It suits players who like a sidearm that does not drag on the belt, and those who enjoy practical shooting drills with a longer-slide pistol.

How a gas blowback pistol works

In a gas blowback pistol the magazine holds both the BBs and the gas. When you pull the trigger, the hammer strikes a valve in the magazine and releases a burst of gas: part of it sends the BB through the hop-up and down the barrel, and the rest drives the slide back, cocking the hammer and loading the next BB as the slide returns. The result is a pistol that cycles and recoils much like the real thing.

Gas pressure falls as the temperature drops, so gas pistols are at their best in mild to warm conditions. On cold days, keep the magazine in an inside pocket between uses, and fire at a steady pace rather than in long strings so the magazine has time to recover.

About Huntsman

Huntsman Tactical is an airsoft brand whose range includes the H17, H18c and H34 gas blowback pistols as well as parts and accessories to support them.

Its pistols cover a range of styles and colours, and the brand also supplies spare magazines, nozzles and sights, so support for your pistol is easy to find.

Getting started

Before the first game, read the manual so you know the controls, the safety arrangement and how to fill and load the magazine. Fill the magazine with the gas the manual recommends in short bursts, holding the can upright, and give it a moment to settle. Load BBs, then fire a few shots at a safe backstop to get a feel for the trigger and the way the slide cycles.

Practise drawing, reloading and clearing the pistol at home with the magazine empty and no BBs loaded, so the routine becomes second nature before you rely on it in a game.

Key features

  • Gas blowback pistol with realistic recoil
  • H34 model, following the longer 34 pattern
  • Listed as lightweight
  • Purple finish
  • Familiar G17-family controls
  • Fires 6mm BBs
  • Suits skirmish players and target shooters

Compatibility

Use good quality seamless 6mm BBs and the gas recommended in the manual. A holster made for the correct pistol shape, and with room for any optic or muzzle device you fit, will keep the pistol secure on the move.

We also stock a metal gas magazine listed for the Huntsman Tactical H34 Customs series. Please ask us to confirm that it fits this Lightweight version before buying spares, and test any new magazine before relying on it in a game.

Care and maintenance

Gas blowback pistols reward a little regular attention. Put a drop of silicone oil on the magazine’s fill valve and seals every few fills so they stay supple and gas-tight, and wipe the slide rails with a lightly oiled cloth from time to time. Clean the inner barrel with a cleaning rod and a soft patch if accuracy starts to drop.

Fill magazines in short bursts and stop when gas starts to spit back from the valve rather than holding the can on longer. Store magazines with a small amount of gas in them so the seals stay seated, and keep the pistol somewhere cool and dry between games.

Use only silicone-based lubricants on rubber seals and O-rings. Petroleum-based oils and solvents can make rubber swell and break down, which causes leaks.

Who is it for?

The H34 Lightweight is for players who want a longer-slide, competition-style gas pistol that is light to carry, in a purple finish that is easy to recognise. It suits skirmish players looking for a dependable sidearm and anyone who enjoys practising shooting drills at home or on the range.

Please note: The listing does not state what is supplied with the pistol, so please ask us if you need to know before ordering. Always wear suitable eye protection when using any airsoft replica, and have it chronographed at your site before play.
