KWA QRF MOD.3 -104-01503

Description

KWA QRF MOD.3

The KWA QRF MOD.3 is a compact AEG inspired by modern pistol-calibre carbines, combining the short, light handling of an SMG with the familiar ergonomics of an AR-style rifle. The QRF (Quick Reaction Force) series is KWA’s take on a dedicated close-quarters AEG, and the MOD.3 version feeds from a straight, Colt SMG-style magazine for a clean, distinctive look.

KWA are well known for engineering their own gearboxes and parts rather than relying on generic internals, and the QRF benefits from that approach. It is a strong choice for CQB and fast-paced play where a short, quick gun is an advantage, and its adjustable performance makes it easy to set up for different sites.

Performance and internals

At the heart of the QRF is KWA’s AEG 2.5 gearbox with the Variable Performance System (VPS). VPS allows the power output to be adjusted within a set range, and a quick-change spring system makes it simple to swap springs, so you can tune the gun to match the limits of the sites you play at. A high-torque motor and high-speed gear set give a fast, responsive trigger, and KWA’s Switch Life Extender helps protect the trigger contacts. The gearbox is also designed to accept drop-in MOSFET units such as the GATE Titan if you want to add programmable features later.

Handling and ergonomics

The QRF MOD.3 measures approximately 26.75in (about 680mm) with the stock extended and 22in (about 560mm) retracted, and weighs around 2.5kg (5.48lb) empty. The PDW-style stock includes a cheek rest for a consistent cheek weld when aiming. The M-LOK handguard lets you add rail sections, lights and grips exactly where you want them, and the fire selector, magazine release and sling adapter are all ambidextrous, so it is equally comfortable for left- and right-handed shooters.

Barrel and magazine

A 184mm inner barrel inside a 6.75in outer barrel keeps the gun compact, and the adjustable hop-up lets you tune range and flight for your chosen BB weight. The straight Colt-style magazine holds 85 rounds and gives the MOD.3 its distinctive SMG profile.

Compatibility

The MOD.3 uses straight Colt SMG-style magazines; make sure any spares are listed as compatible with the QRF MOD.3. The M-LOK handguard accepts standard M-LOK rail sections and accessories. Check battery size and connector against the gun’s battery space before buying.

Care and maintenance

Remove the battery after each game and never store the gun with it connected. Clean the inner barrel regularly and use good-quality seamless BBs. After changing springs or adjusting VPS, always chrono the gun with your chosen BB weight. Wipe the gun down after wet or muddy games and store it somewhere dry.
