Maxx Model CNC Aluminium Hop-Up Chamber ME-PRO with LED
The Maxx Model ME-PRO is a precision replacement hop-up chamber for M4/M16-pattern AEGs, CNC machined from a single piece of aluminium and supplied here with an LED unit. The LED lights up glow-in-the-dark BBs as they pass through the chamber, giving you a tracer effect without having to fit a separate muzzle tracer unit.
Maxx Model is known for high-quality machined hop-up units, and the PRO is the top of its M4 range. A good chamber holds the inner barrel and bucking firmly and keeps the hop setting where you leave it, which is a big part of consistent accuracy. This unit suits players building or upgrading an M4 who want a stable, adjustable hop and the option of tracer fire at night games and indoor sites.
Build and design
The chamber body is machined from aircraft-grade 6061 aluminium, with a rotary adjustment dial that gives fine, repeatable hop settings. A Delrin locking C-clip holds the inner barrel without wobble or twist, and three adjustment springs keep the unit centred and aligned with the gearbox and receiver. Redesigned pressers are provided for both standard and R-hop style buckings, and the unit works with both soft and hard hop rubbers.
PRO models add a BB latching system, which stops loose BBs dropping out of the chamber when you change magazines, and a manual ball release lets you empty the feed tube without tools. The pusher arm locking pin can be removed for maintenance and adjustment.
Tracer effect
The LED unit makes glow-in-the-dark (tracer) BBs glow as they leave the chamber, so you can see the flight path of every shot. This is useful in low light, at night games and on indoor sites, and it is also a great way to see exactly how your hop setting is affecting the BB’s flight.

Compatibility
Designed for M4/M16-pattern AEGs and for nozzles of 21.00 to 21.25mm in length. It is listed for Tokyo Marui-pattern rifles, Krytac and Specna Arms, and works with most aftermarket inner barrels and buckings made to the standard pattern. Some brands use proprietary hop-up layouts, so check your rifle’s specifications before ordering, and use glow-in-the-dark BBs to get the tracer effect.
Care and maintenance
When fitting, make sure the bucking is seated evenly on the inner barrel and that the barrel’s hop window lines up with the presser. Avoid getting oil on the bucking or inside the chamber, as this causes inconsistent shots. Clean the inner barrel and bucking with a dry patch now and then, and keep the LED unit and its wiring away from moisture.
